52. With respect to increased community efforts in low income settlements, these youth training programs support community initiatives. A youth/activists training program on housing and sanitation is on going. These also enable the youth/activists to take up work in this field independently. |

53. Besides technical training, effort is made to initiate youth resource centers or vocational training centers, providing a resource base for skill training and information. Youth support units that evolved through the program are Technical Training Resource Center (TTRC) and Bright Education Society (BES). These institutions based within the community, give an opportunity to youths to support communities with technical guidance for housing and infrastructure.Strengthening of another unit, the Housing Resource Centre, is being focused. |
